New Delhi: Delhiites can now pay property tax online with Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit launching the MCD’s property tax website on 9 April.

The website has been launched with an objective to assign unique property identification code for each property in the capital and placement of municipal assessment book on the internet as per provisions of DMC Act.

“Tax payers can access mcdpropertytax.in from anywhere and easily calculate the tax to be paid by them from an easy to use user interface,” said Dikshit.

She said from now on a unique code will be assigned to each property and future references will be made using the code.

Presently the information is being managed by UTI Bank. “The portal would soon become bi-lingual,” said Dikshit.
