New Delhi: Global professional services firm Ernst and Young (E&Y) today said it will induct Suzlon Energy Chairman Tulsi Tanti in its World Entrepreneur of the year Academy on 3 June in Monte Carlo, Monaco.

Tanti was named the Indian entrepreneur of the year in 2006 by E&Y.

Entrepreneurs with exceptional achievements are inducted in the E&Ys Hall of fame Academy, E&Y said in a statement.

“Tanti truly embodies the spirit of entrepreneurship. He has built his business with immense passion; exploring un-chartered territories and has put India on the world map for renewable energy. He is a true flag-bearer of the Indian growth story of metamorphosing a domestic company into a global MNC, E&Y India Country Managing Partner Rajiv Memani said in the statement.

E&Y also declared nominations for 2007 Entrepreneur of the Year Award open. Winners will be selected by a panel of judges following an independent process of nomination and selection.

The jury for 2007 awards comprises eminent individuals, including TCS CEO S Ramadorai, ICICI Bank CEO and Managing Director KV Kamath and Chryscapital Sr Managing Director Ashish Dhawan.

Award categories, include infrastructure, services, lifetime achievement, manager entrepreneur and start-up entrepreneur.
