Researchers at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) in Hyderabad have discovered a way of using a well-known fungus to “substantially” accelerate the process and thereby reduce the cost of producing biodiesel.
“We are just about to initiate patent filing procedures, which is why I can’t give you numbers on the increase in efficiency that our process will bring about,” said Ravi Potumarthi, a research scholar involved with the project.
The discovery was first reported in a science blog run by Wired magazine.

YES,I have a comment. Whatever happened with this process? Sounds like a wonderful thing. Or has the big oil Co.s bought up the rights to it before it ever hit the market? This oil shortage is all a big bunch of Shit, and people have bought into it.500 years from now they will still be pumping oil out of the ground, but no one but the High Rollers will be able to buy it. Hell, it that way now and it isn`t even, summer yet!!!!!!!!!
