New Delhi: The power of yoga in shaping the body and calming the mind, has clearly transcended geographical boundaries.

With sports major Adidas choosing to base their new campaign’s theme on ‘Play Yoga’, there is an acceptance and blend of a strong fitness culture that embodies active dosage of high calorie burning physical exercises along with mind-body therapies like yoga.

In its global campaign ’Play Yoga’, Adidas takes the line that promotes yoga as a sport which benefits athletes of all levels by increasing focus, balance, coordination, stamina and flexibility.

Led by yoga professional Rainbeau Mars, who has taken under his wing athletes and sportspersons like Laila Ali, Steffi Graf, rugby player Jonah Lomu, and 100m freestyle world record holder Britta Steffen, the viewer is taken through a series of yogic postures. Quite the perfect pitch for the new Adidas women spring/summer collection that will be launched globally in January 2008.
