New Delhi: India’s second largest drug firm Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd has received a tentative approval from drug regulator US Food and Drug Administration for its anti-inflammatory drug pantoprazole sodium.

The approval is for pantoprazole sodium in extended release tablet form, according to information on USFDA website.

The drug is prescribed to heal a condition called erosive esophagitis (a severe inflammation of the passage to the stomach) brought on by a persistent back-flow of stomach acid.
