The former executive creative director of Lowe Lintas Pvt. Ltd, Rahul Sengupta, is launching a production house called Mad Box, in association with film producer Sunil Manchanda. The latter confirmed this and said Mad Box will supply content to television broadcasters, while his own venture, Mad Films, will continue to focus on big-budget Bollywood movies and ad films. Sengupta has about 15 years in advertising.

Anindya Banerjee has moved to Publicis (India) Pvt. Ltd as senior creative director from Contract Advertising (I) Ltd, where he was a creative director. Says Emmanuel Upputuru, national creative director, Publicis: “We are rebuilding our creative team and Andy’s appointment is a part of that. More appointments will follow.” Banerjee started his career in Contract in 1995.

Sumantra Sengupta, senior vice-president and general manager of JWT India’s digital unit, RMG, in Mumbai, has quit. Tarun Rai, vice-president, JWT India, confirmed this. Sengupta was associated with JWT for 17 years.

Minitha Saxena has joined Cogito Consulting, the independent consulting division of the Draft FCB-Ulka group of companies in India, as vice-president.

An MBA from IIM-Bangalore, Saxena has 17 years of experience across diverse product categories covering packaged goods, leisure, retail, automotive and media. Saxena joined the Draft FCB-Ulka team from Lowe India in 1999. “I am looking forward to an intellectually challenging work environment that encourages and provokes me and gives me diversity in experience across industries and in dealing with difficult and complex problems,” says Saxena.
