The Flying B, the signature logo of the Bentley car company, has found a temporary showroom: New Delhi’s Polka Art Gallery. The B will be residing at the gallery for one week along with the works of well known Indian contemporary artists. “This exhibition celebrates the grand and genteel character of the classic car through contemporary art,” says Aarthi Singh, the director of the gallery.

The works will include sculptures and paintings by Akbar Padamsee, Jogen Chowdhury, M.F. Husain, Paresh Maity, Satish Gujral and J. Swaminathan. There will be a Bentley on display in the showroom because, as Singh believes, “a Bentley is a work of art”.

With the exception of one or two artists, all the participants created works exclusively for this show. Most of the works are large in scale, around 5 or 6 ft in height. The artworks and the car are available for sale.

At the Polka Art Gallery, E-5, Defence Colony, New Delhi; from 2 to 9 March.
