New Delhi: Designer Christophe Lemaire, creative director, Lacoste has put together a new collection that pays tribute to the brands’ 75th anniversary tracing its history from the first garment it created in 1933 which was a single white polo shirt for playing tennis to its current status where it has emerged as a global lifestyle brand.

The entire range is youthful and sporty with fitness and aesthetics being the central themes.

For ‘Him’, the collection begins with the Tonic and Newport ranges. Tonic is a theme of refreshing colours while Newport on the other hand is a timeless elegant nautical theme which highlights the starkness of black and white, echoing the eastern seaboard of America in the American flag colours.

Later during the early summer, the collection will introduce Club 1 and Memphis where the former would be a subtle colourful theme based on ageless patterns, pure fabrics and a sporty, golf wear spirit and the latter will revolve around the theme of washed monochrome shades inspired by the romanticism of Memphis deserts.

For mid summer there would be Club 75 and Active reliving the efined patterns and elegance of the 30’s with large crocodile embroidery and classic stripes in the sports styles.

For late summer there would be the Tanger, Tennis golf and Roland Garros ranging from sunny themes of warm spicy colours with subtle shaded colours reminiscent of Moroccan deserts and handcrafted pottery to tennis, golf & Rolland Garros which dominate tennis courts and golf courses.
