Lastminuteinventory.com, billed as the world’s first online real-time media exchange for trading remnant inventory, has appointed Aditya Ray as CEO and chief evangelist of its portal. Ray was marketing head at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd for the flagship Zee TV brand. He also worked at Maharaja Group in Colombo, handling its portfolio of television channels. His last assignment was with Bennett, Coleman and Co. Ltd, where he worked both in sales and with the Private Treaties team. “Aditya has a very deep understanding of media analytics, and I am sure he will bring great value to lastminuteinventory.com,” says Sandeep Goyal, chairman of Last Minute Media, the company that owns the portal.

Yahoo Web Services India Pvt. Ltd has appointed Gopal Krishna as audience head for its consumer services in the region. Based in Bangalore, he will report to the Yahoo Inc. managing director for international emerging markets, Keith Nilsson. Krishna’s mandate at the company will involve consumer-centric responsibilities in the areas of communities, communications, media and entertainment and search.

Priya S., creative director, Grey Worldwide, has joined DDB Mudra in the same position. She will work on the Lipton and Johnson and Johnson brands.

141 Sercon, the below-the-line marketing arm of Bates David Enterprise, has appointed Uday Patwardhan as creative head of its Mumbai operations. He was earlier working with August Brand Communications as creative director.
