New Delhi: Advertising on television by the services sector rose by as much as 64% during 2007, over the previous year. Within the sector, the ‘Internet/ SMS Service’ category topped, with a 37% share of the TV advertising pie.

A report titled ‘Advertising of Services Sector’, released by AdEx India, a division of TAM Media Research, also says that ‘Properties/Real Estate’, lead with the maximum number of brands advertised, at 632 brands.

‘Homeshop18’was the top advertiser with 8% share of overall ad volumes of Services sector on TV.
