Hyderabad: SatNav Technologies, a Hyderabad-based IT products company and pioneer of GPS technology in India, has launched navigation and planning solution for laptops and desktops.

The company had earlier launched SatGuide for corporations and has now come out with the product in the retail market.

The firm, which claims to offer the widest range of GPS products, said since the launch of laptop/desktop version of SatGuide for corporations, there was demand from customers to make it available in the retail market.

“When an individual is planning to travel outside his/her office or to another city, SatGuide’s laptop and desktop version can help improve his/her efficiency by at least 15% during the trip,” it said.

Speaking about the launch, Amit Prasad, founder CEO and MD of SatNav Technologies, said, “SatGuide can be installed in every household that has a desktop or laptop, which leads to a significant efficiency enhancement.”

To access maps on desktops, there is no need for internet connection once SatGuide is installed. Sitting in one’s office, it is now possible to feed in a start point, end point and get the complete details of distance, time to travel among other details, he added.
