Bangalore: Microsoft India chairman Ravi Venkatesan, who spoke to Mint at around 12.50pm on Friday, denied Neelam Dhawan’s exit and said all’s well in the firm.

Has Neelam Dhawan quit or been asked to leave?

Not at all.

Has she put in her papers?

She has not done anything.

Listen Now

Is Microsoft India under any kind of internal investigation?

No.

Is a Microsoft global investigation team probing allegations of financial fraud in the company?

Absolutely not. Well. What’s the source of all this?

Have there been key exits in the last three weeks?

No.

Apart from Mohit Anand (country manager, entertainment and devices) and Asim Mathur (national marketing manager, entertainment and devices), have any other key personnel left or been asked to leave?

No. The attrition rate is nothing unusual over the last 12 months. Mohit left for a job with MTV but he was not asked to leave. He has been with company for 12 years and it was quite natural. Asim Mathur left on his own. Rajiv Srivastava (who is rumoured to be leaving) is sitting next to me in a meeting.

About ...

I’m sorry, I’m in a meeting. I’ll look at your questions....I won’t be able to comment any further..

As a Mint reader, I'm interested only in the news. Is this an attempt in sensationalizing news in print?! Definitely looks like you're going down the broadcast road... After all, this IS only the Indian arm of Microsoft. I expect much more from Mint.

Looks very much like irresponsible reporting. Did you take permissions before recording the conversations and publishing them? Is this what the WSJ has come to? Can you deny this is sensationalism?
