The Indica Vista, built on an all-new platform, is larger than existing Indica models and also boasts of additional interior space than the current one.

Available in both petrol and diesel variants, the car is powered by a range of internationally acclaimed power trains — the new 75 bhp 1.3L Quadrajet common rail diesel engine and the 65bhp, 1.2L CVCP Safire MPFI petrol engine.

The car will initially be available in seven variants across 170 dealerships in the country at a price range of Rs3.49 lakh to Rs4.88 lakh.

The launch, which is almost a year late from its initial schedule, comes at a time when the the 10-year-old brand is losing its sheen in the Indian market. Indica reported a 32% drop at 7,525 units in July. Tata Motors is betting on the Vista to arrest the slide.
