The first thing that hit you was that this was a far more competitive environment than college. Here I was from St Stephens, which was more focused on an extra-curricular education, and I found that the IITians were so much more focused on monitoring each other’s scores and moving up their performance averages. Maximum learning, undoubtedly, came from the perspective sharing and sheer breadth of issues that were discussed.
MBA has biodata value, especially if you are joining the corporate sector, but soft courses like HR and communication, which we used to scoff at, actually have the maximum value in life.
