Mumbai: The oldest wine producer in the country, Champagne Indage today said that it has dropped the word “Champagne” from its name and will now be known as Indage Vinters.
The name change brings into effect the discontinuation of the term ‘Champagne’ in order to respect Intellecutal Property Rights (IPR), the company said in a statement released here today.
“The new logo for Indage Vintners is synonymous with insignia of quality indicating our exclusivity, uniqueness and customisation,” Indage Vintners Managing Director, Ranjit S Chougule, said.
The company’s main domestic brand portfolios are Chateau Indage and Indage Vineyards.
