Kochi: To beat competition and woo more viewers, DTH services provider Dish TV on Tuesday announced a Recharge Free offer to its existing and new subscribers.

The new initiative is in line with its vision to add three million subscribers this year and touch the eight million mark by 2010, company’s deputy vice president V.P. Krishna Kumar said.

He said DishTV has always taken the lead in enhancing the value proposition of the DTH category thereby expanding the DTH market.

DishTV, a part of media conglomerate-- Zee group, presently has a 48% market share and five million subscribers in the country, with Maharastra and Gujarat accounting for maximum connections.

In Kerala, it has a market share of 42% and viewer base of 15 lakh, he said.
