Jalandhar: Union Minister of State for Industry Ashwani Kumar has said that the role of Maytas Infra Ltd in Satyam fiasco will be probed comprehensively and suitable action will be taken, if found guilty.

“Several agencies like Company Law Board, Department of Companies Affairs and SEBI, along with other investigating agencies, will vigorously probe the wrong-doings in Satyam episode and will try in every possible way to trace the siphoned off Satyam funds,” Kumar told reporters, adding that if Maytas or any other company were found involved in the fraud, suitable action would be taken against such them.

Regarding the overtures for takeover of Satyam by various companies, Kumar said that several firms had shown interest to take over the troubled IT major, but the final decision would be taken by its Board of Directors.
