Apple won’t let you, but phone vendors will. At Rs500, a 1 GB microSD card is the best upgrade for your phone, to store more music, data and software. New music systems let you plug in a USB flash drive, with thousands of songs. Flash is the future.

Snap it in a snip

Many cameras will let you disable the logo screen and jump right into the live viewfinder, which saves start-up time. Just go to the camera’s menu or settings and disable the start-up screen. Within the camera’s menus, you should also be able to adjust the length of the review time each photo stays on the LCD screen after you snap it.
