New Delhi: Fortis Healthcare Ltd said that a report that it may buy a stake in Wockhardt Hospitals Ltd was speculative and it hasn’t agreed to purchase any company.

Fortis is evaluating acquisition opportunities to expand its network of hospitals, the New Delhi-based company said in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange today.

‘The Economic Times’ reported on 31 March that Fortis may purchase as much as 74% of Wockhardt Hospitals for about Rs750 crore.
