New Delhi: Nucleus Software Exports Ltd plans to cut costs by 10% in FY10 to help improve margins, a senior company official said on Monday.

However, revenue is expected to be flat in the year to March 2010, managing director Vishnu Dusad told a news conference after firm’s March quarter profit fell 9%.

“We would be reducing costs by 10% by taking various measures, all standard measures: energy costs, travel costs,” he said.

The company hopes to save Rs260 million from these measures during the current fiscal, he added.

“We will reduce on-site content to whatever extent possible and offshore more.”

The company plans to move a third of its 300 on-site employees back to India this year.
