Mumbai: Tyre maker Dunlop India has posted a net profit of Rs11.98 crore during the fourth quarter ended 31 March .

The company had a net profit of Rs1.72 crore in the corresponding period a year ago, Dunlop India said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange on Saturday.

Total income of the company fell to Rs11.07 crore during the January-March quarter of FY’09 from Rs85.41 crore of the same quarter a year earlier, it said.

Due to various reasons the company was forced to declare “Suspension of Work” at its Sahganj unit with effect from 30 November 2008, however it was lifted on March 5 this year, Dunlop India said.

For the financial year ended 31 March, the company registered a net profit of Rs1.30 crore, while the same was at Rs4.85 crore in FY’08.
