New Delhi: With the Indian Premier League entering the final stages, the merchandise related to Kings XI Punjab is becoming one of the most popular among buyers online.

The Kings XI Punjab’s merchandise has become the most sought after, on online marketplace eBay India.

According to eBay India’s IPL sales barometer -- Battle of the Fans -- products related to the Bollywood star Preity Zinta-owned team accounts for 29% of all the merchandise.

The barometer measures the popularity of an IPL team by the quantity of team merchandise bought by fans on eBay India.

“Topping the IPL Battle of the Fans, is Kings XI Punjab at 29% of all merchandise, followed by Delhi Daredevils at 17% and Deccan Chargers at 16%.

“Rajasthan Royals and Kolkata Knight Riders would make up the Top 5 in clearly indicating that team popularity is heavily influenced by the Bollywood star owners,” eBay India said in a statement on Friday.

Mumbai Indians is at the sixth spot followed by the Chennai Super Kings and the Royal Challengers Bangalore at the seventh and eighth positions, respectively.

eBay India has tied up with leading brands like Puma, Adidas and Reebok for offering the IPL merchandise including jerseys, T-shirts, shoes and caps of several IPL teams.
