Green has never been so hot. On 5 June, World Environment Day, climate change negotiations are heating up in Bonn and the groundwork for an international climate change deal to be sealed in Copenhagen later this year is being laid.

Click here to watch an interview with IYCN about how youngsters are spearheading climate change.

Carbon emissions, cap and trade and off shore drilling are terms that casually pepper the news nowadays and working for an environmental organization has never been quite so in vogue.

But if you’re a young person in India, all this can seem far off and irrelevant. How can you, within your own community, make a change on an issue as large and formidable as climate change?

To get a sense of what India’s youngsters can do, and are doing, to combat climate change, we talk to two members of the Indian Youth Climate Network, an organization started in March 2008 to mobilize India’s youngsters around the issue of climate change, and offer them a national platform to come together for a common cause.

Understand any economy anywhere needs cheap energy to grow (Coal etc). Green energy (wind , solar etc..) are very expensive energy almost 15 times the cost. Cap n Trade is a scam that draws from Medival Catholic practice of people paying "Indulenges" paid to catholic church for sins thus free to commit more "sins" . Cap and trade nothing but makes a lots of money for likes of Goldman Sachs , Al Gore on Chicago Climate Exchange. It is a fraud for crazy magnititude.
