New Delhi: India named Nirupama Rao, the present ambassador to China, as the next foreign secretary, the government said in a statement on Tuesday.

She replaces Shivshankar Menon, whose term ends on 31 July, according to the statement.

BSE announces top brass appointments

Mumbai: The benchmark Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) announced on Tuesday appointing former top official of the New York Stock Exchange James Shapiro as market development head and Sayee Srinivasan as product strategy head.

Both the appointments are effective from 1 July, a BSE release said here.

Nehal Vora has also been appointed as head of planning and policy at BSE with effect from 23 July.
