Mumbai: Television Eighteen India Ltd on Wednesday reported a net loss of Rs22.4 crore for the quarter ended 30 June.

The company had a net profit of Rs3.44 crore in the same quarter ended June 2008, Television Eighteen India said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The company’s revenue declined to Rs58.22 crore for the quarter ended June 2009 against Rs74.84 crore in the same period last year.

On consolidated basis, the company has posted a net loss of Rs40.66 crore and revenue of Rs107.12 crore for the quarter ended June 2009, the filing added.

Shares of Television Eighteen India today settled at Rs99.85 on the BSE, up 8.71% from previous close.
