New Delhi: Global IT firm SAP on Thursday said it is looking to acquire Switzerland-based software developer SAF AG for around $100 million.

“We are in the process of acquiring SAF AG. We are currently in talks and have gone for public bidding. The size of the acquisition is around $100 million,” said SAP Indian Subcontinent managing director Ranjan Das.

Das, however, declined to give further details and the time-frame by which the acquisition will take place.

SAF is a Swiss forecasting and replenishment software developer in the field of retail and wholesale industries.

The company on Thursday launched a software SAP BusinessObject Explorer.
