Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh chief minister K. Rosaiah has sought a central assistance of Rs6,000 crore immediately to carry out flood relief works in the state.
In a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the chief minister urged the Centre to consider the calamity in Andhra Pradesh as “national calamity of rare severity” and immediately release funds for relief, rehabilitation and restoration works.
