Melbourne: Steel Authority of India Ltd, or SAIL, said it is considering buying coking coal mines in Australia, Indonesia and Mozambique with an Indian government joint venture.

“We are looking at several opportunities but I can’t discuss the names,” chairman S.K. Roongta said in an interview in Beijing. “I can’t set a timeline but we would like it to happen at the earliest.”

Areva T&D wins order for Rs150 cr project

New Delhi: Areva T&D India Ltd on Tuesday said it has won a Rs150 crore order from Power Grid Corp. of India Ltd for a 765 kV substation.

Areva will deliver the project in Jaiti Kalan in Delhi, the company said in a release.
