Hyderabad: IVRCL Infrastructure and Projects Ltd (IVRCL), in joint venture with Unity Infraprojects Ltd, has bagged an order worth Rs1145.88 crore to construct a tunnel in Mumbai.

The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) has awarded the contract to Unity-IVRCL JV to construct an 8.3 km tunnel from Kapurbawadi to Bhandup in the central suburbs.

The project forms an important part of ‘Mumbai Water Supply Project’, an IVRCL release said here on Wednesday.

Besides the main work, the order includes related civil works, interconnection to existing pipelines, testing and commissioning of the tunnel and a steel bridge, it added.
