New Delhi: The government said it will form a state-run company to bolster energy efficiency, with NTPC Ltd, Power Finance Corp. Ltd, Rural Electrification Corp. Ltd and Power Grid Corp. of India Ltd owning shares of the company, according to power minister Sushil Kumar Shinde.

The firm will help save 30,000 MW of power capacity, he said.
