For a long long time, i was wondering why India Exports RAW Minerals. My stand is...India should not Export Raw Minerals but only processed semi-finished or finished products. India might need lot of Steel in the future or her Infrastructure building !!! It is Un-Patriotic for a country of our size and appetite(for finished end products) to export RAW Minerals. I will appreciate if someone can give a good reason why India should export RAW Minerals ??????? The Irony is India is Exporting Iron ORE to CHINA !!!!!

U r correct, China may not use all of its import from India Immdtly for production purpose, it may hoard them. They are capitalising recession and taking advantage over soft prices by keeping an upper hand in price negotiations. We always focus on short term comfort and justify it by saying some foolish proverbs. patriotic lawmakers with long term vision is the real the need of the HOUR.
