New Delhi: The Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) located at Bangalore and Kolkata will, in a break from tradition, start their on-campus hiring un-coordinated with IIM Ahmedabad. IIM Ahmedabad is going for a spread out placement season, with the first recruiter cohort on campus expected on 13-14 February, said a student who did not want to be identified as he was not a part of the placement committee.

IIM Bangalore’s Day Zero is on 4 March, with IIM Calcutta’s Day Zero on 6 March, a recruiter told Mint. Day Zero usually stands for the first two days of recruitment, when investment banks and consultancies, the most preferred recruiters on campus, get slots to interview students.
