Mumbai: Violet Arch Capital Advisors, a Mumbai-based financial services company founded last year, has hired four senior executives to head different business divisions of the company.
Indraneil Borkakoty, former head of capital markets at Nomura India, has been appointed managing director and head of Violet Arch’s investment banking division. Ravi Agarwal, former managing director of the Indian operations of global hedge fund Spinnaker Capital, has been appointed managing director of the structured finance business.

Anand Krishna, former head of corporate affairs, of Macquarie’s Indian businesses and who has more than 25 years of experience in operations and finance functions, has been named chief operating officer and will oversee operations across Violet Arch’s business verticals.
Jayanta Basu, former senior vice president of small and medium enterprises segment at Fullerton India, will join Violet Arch as senior vice president, structured finance.
Violet Arch Capital was founded by Varun Bajpai, former head of SBI Macquarie Infrastructure fund.
“The significant additions to the senior teams at Violet Arch’s various business lines emphasize the fact that there is an overwhelming need for a full-service domestic Indian platform which offers scale and depth of operations across business lines, global governance standards, and best-in-class product sophistication,” Bajpai, chief executive of Violet Arch, said in a press statement.
