Turbocharging RTI
Technology can help make the Right to Information Act an even more useful tool of empowerment

The article is inviting one. To be true full advantage of RTI Act is not being taken of. It is necessary to introduce technology mission to this new tool. There are in fact three active players in the game. Applicant is the first player. Public Information Officer is the second player. Departmental Head directly ( and Government indirectly) is the third player. Information Commission is the Referee needed when the players go wrong. Government can contribute substantially to implementation of RTI Act by remaining neutral when the match is going on between the two players. I shall consider it a priviledge if any good meaning NGO or Activist Group working in this field permits me to join with then in their efforts. Thanks for the article. Keshav Prasad vis e-mail
