BY NOW it has become pretty clear that most of the terror organizations operate from Pakistan under the very nose of its security forces. Even there are proofs that these organizations are trained and armed by the state security agencies.
After 9/11, Pak-Army has become compulsion of the US-led forces in its war on terror inside Afghanistan. Despite mounting pressure from the west, this very institution is not prepared to root out the terror it has sowed in the tribal areas of northern Pakistan. there are indications that the terror has taken roots and spread further to adjacent peaceful areas. Those who are preaching anti-US or west ideas are widely believed to be on payroll of the government security agencies and often target those who are either peaceful or oppose such ideas. Moreover, hundreds of religious seminaries and their patrons are working openly to indoctrinate and enlist more and more youth to fight against western forces especially in Afghanistan.
Some analysts think if the west abandons US-led war on terror in Afghanistan, the menace of Islamic militancy would be capped, but I do not think so. The indoctrination of youth and the campaign in progress in the seminaries does not seem to be temporary and would cease to exist if the western forces quit Afghanistan; rather the war against terror is gradually becoming a real and longstanding struggle and would end only if "rogue states" and their powerful spy agencies are disbanded. The militants are trained to terrorize inhabitants of London, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Stockholm, Amsterdam, New York and New Delhi at their homes.
The western countries should either pressurize countries to shut "terror factories" or prepare their armies for a long fight with terror at home and abroad because by now terrorism has become the matter of the whole world and not that of Afghanistan or India.
