It is true beyond doubt that Indians are racist, in every respect of the term. This is not a new trend in our country and has existed for centuries, owing to myriad reasons. It is indeed time we looked beyond the same and tried to resolve these issues, for the betterment of our nation. However, as for us being racist in foreign lands are concerned, this stems from economic prosperity and the inability to merge with local cultures worldwide. I believe we are not too social and confine ourselves to our respective communities, for security more importantly than anything else. I would be surprised if Gujaratis would mingle freely with Sindhis abroad. Maybe this introverted nature, also prevents them from rubbing shoulders with the ethnic folks of a particular country. As for Africans in Delhi, folks are mortally frightened, lest they be involved in any kind of illegal activities from their premises. No self-respecting person wants to be dragged into any controversy with the authorites. Last but no the least this does not change the fact, that we are racist to the core and need to better ourselves as our citizens are migrating abroad and this is the age of globalisation like no other.
