Advani the party man or Singh the economist?
There is one brutally tough man in politics, but it is not Advani. This man is cold and emotionless when you observe him talk

I doubt whether the writer and the readers who commented against the article understood the complexity of Indian politics. The writer thinks a good economic strategy is the 'one-size-fit-all' solution to our problems. Many of the readers commented about the author being 'biased', because he highlighted all the shortcomings of 'their' leader. One thing I always find funny is that naysayers of the 'Gandhi-dynasty' rule in congress conveniently forgets Varun Gandhi, the most dangerous of all the three third generation Gandhis being on their side.
I think neither MMS, nor LKA is capable enough to lead this phenomenon called India. What India needs is a great political leader who can lead forward the people of this country, having a team of economists, educationists, scientists, administrators working with her/him. A seasoned politician/economist leading the team alone is NOT a solution to India's problems. It needs strong statesmen to lead a country as diverse as ours - who can think, who understands, who can take decisions, who is compassionate, who is practical, who tolerates no nonsense and above all whom the people admire as well so that he/she is the decision maker. But we cannot expect Mohandas Gandhis or George Washingtons to be born at all times right…
