SBI in a soup over chicken in television commercial
The Animal Welfare Board has demanded the bank pull an ad that shows a chicken laying golden eggs

I'm quoting from the Animal welfare Board on the SBI Chicken Ad: “It is obvious that the chicken would never have done any of these stunts willingly. The feet of the chicken were possibly glued on the escalator railing to prevent it from jumping off the moving railing. Besides, its wings may have been clipped together so the chicken would not flap them...,” It almost looks like a 'Why did the chicken cross the road?" joke. Why do we permit absurd laws like this to get passed, and waste precious resources propping up somebody's hobby horse? I've been around film-makers, and they all complain bitterly on how long the Animal people take to give permission. Chickens are trussed up and treated cruelly in markets and poultry farms all ove India, numerous other anumals are ill-treated, and they go after film-makers who anyway use very few animals. Grow up, people!
