Punish rioters, not writers
The concept of free speech has become a political tool in India, not a principle to fight for

I agree with the central gist of the article, which is that free speech is an asset that should be protected. But at the same time I also feel that countries and societies that prosecute individuals for inciting hatred and violence against particular groups are well within their rights. For example, I think inciting hatred, libel, slander and promoting acts of violence against particular groups of people on the basis of their ethnicity, skin colour, religious affiliation and political viewpoint should all be illegal.
