This has to be yet another instance of Dow Chemical being caught bribing its way through government regulatory bodies. Earlier last year the company was fined 325, 000 US $s by none other than the US Securities & Exchange Commission for bribing officials of the Insecticides Registration Board to get Dursban and other banned in the US pesticides, registered in India. In May last year the Minister of Agriculture Sharad Pawar informed the parliament that action will be taken against the company after the Central Bureau of Investigation complete its investigations. Nothing has been heard on this yet.
