Proposing to have a second airport to serve Delhi region by the year 2010 based simply on a technical study and assumptions? A tecnical study is not enough. An economic feasibility study is a must.Given that the IGI Airport expansion master plan is claimed to provide for an ultimate capacity of 100 million passenger/annum, the expected results of an economic study ae not difficult to foresee. Furthermore, it is not clear if an operational study focussing on air traffic management issues given the presence of two international airports and one defence airfield in cose vicinity of each other has been conducted so far.
