Mobs are above the law
Politics in India has been sanctified, and you will never find a cop arresting a politician, unless he is being used as a tool by an even more powerful politician

i echo your views...however angry or disturbed a person or a group of people are, it gives them no right to destroy any one's property...i believe that the police should be allowed to use some level of force with rioters (however, there is always a risk of excessive force being used)...i think its more to do with frustration as well..being part of a mob allows a person to get away even with murder..he vents his anger out on anything/anyone..and is not to worried of the consequences as he is showing anger, and that somehow makes any activity legit in the eyes of most politicians. There has to be a no tolerance stance in place against mobs...it will draw flak for sure, and will have a lot of problems when it is implemented...but it will be beneficial in the long run....think of it this way...if your car is being burnt, you will not take any excuse from anyone however angry or unjustly he has been treated..
