Between the India Shining and Bharat Nirman commercials, i like the India Shining advertisement better. But, i would like to disagree with all who seem to get carried away by the Price Rise aka Inflation bug and have been blaming the centre for this unavoidable economic phenomenon. States own the responsibility more than the centre for inflation, and we hardly hear a murmur or any major action from the state govt to address inflation. for a common man, Fuel prices form a major part of the spend every month, though MAC (our FM) has been asking the states to rationalize the tax on fuels, we've not seen much traction here. while the common man gets squeezed for the last few pennies, state exchequers laugh their way to the bank. i picked on fuel prices, since another rise likely after karnataka elections is hovering over all of us and since fuel price hike leads to a hike in almost all other essentials due to higher transport and input costs. IF WE ARE SERIOUS ABOUT INFLATION, MOVE THE PROTESTS AND NOISE TO THE STATES not to Delhi!
