As a professional social worker, I don't welcome the writings of Nithyanad.Community Development is the professional Service,Strategy,Career.Only you need is the passion and right attitude towards the development, then you will develop the aptitude and skills very soon by working in the development sector.I want to make you clear that Social service is different from Social development. Those who think of social service will not be suitable for social development. The attitude of social service will fade soon and you will not make anything out of it and the change is nothing. But the professional service in the development is the career. It makes changes which you can see in front your eyes.Because of the social action, you are finding more policy changes.it has its own values, principles, ethics and strategies. if anyone is willing to work in the NGO sector,it is more wecome idea. But only if you are willing..and the salary is equivalent to IT sectors with Job Satisfaction which is diffcult to find in any other sectors.Community Development is the "Helping the People to Help themsevelves" and "Self-reliant".Social service will not do these things..Only the Change is permanent. The Change through Professional Service is permanent ever.
