Dear Editor, What I have read and seen on TV I understand that our laws do not permit return of land acquired by the Govt. If that be so, how can Trinamool Congress ask for the return of some part of acquired land? In my opinion the only option is to give larger compensation for those whose land has been acquired. As it will involve time and cost for the Tata's to relocate their plant, they may be amenable to agree to the suggestion. Besides, the people of WB should also understand the pros and cons of losing such a large project and convince TMC to be more flexible and settle the matter that will benefit all concerned. Truly yours,
subrahmanyam
