India seen from Singapore
Unless agriculture is commercialized and employment found in towns, India will never achieve its potential

Dear Author, Interesting article with diverse view. With all respect to PM of Singapore, I believe he has not understood India. Commercializing is not about changing villages to cities. It is about giving all the elements of quality of life (Good education, healthcare, entertainment, information) to them without changing their life patterns. I believe that India would prosper by going to its cultural roots of being as greener as possible. Also focus more on Food, Water and Energy security (particularly renewable energy) and make farmer earn more for the products they produce. That would create enough demand that would keep our other related industries busy. Looking forward to hear from you on the same. Thanks & Regards, Partha
