India seen from Singapore
Unless agriculture is commercialized and employment found in towns, India will never achieve its potential

Senior statesman Lee Kwan Yew has said that "an ideal village life is incompatible..... and that societies could only develop by modernization." I think we need to find our own path - a greener, cleaner society definitely makes good long term economic sense. We need to evolve a policy that binds the inherent strength of our villages with modern facilities and technology - relevant modernization. The dangers of mindlessly aping the west are all too apparent.
