Can something be done to change this attitude of selfishness and absolute callousness? There is a simmering dicontent which is increasing social tensions.I think it is the moral duty of the middle class to take responsibility and become active in helping the poor. This is also in it's long term interest to maintain social cohesion.Instead of going on pilgrammges we should commit spend that time and money to try help the needy in our area.
