A palm-sized pocket projector, the Hikari Pro920 has a projective size of 25 inch in 640x480 (VGA) resolutions. It deploys a 10 lumen LED as light source and consumes only 5 Watt of power to play its front-projected images to any white surface. With its high spec input interface, it can also be used with smartphones, Xbox 360, Wii, PS3 game consoles, portable media players and DVD players. And if you want to check out an even smaller portable projector, point your browser to www.explay.co.il for the Explay nano-projector.

TOUCHSCREEN UNIVERSAL TV/DVD REMOTE WATCH

Always fumbling for the TV and/or DVD remote, but never finding it where you think you kept it the last time? Maybe you could think of getting this fully-functional, watch-based universal remote control. Extremely lightweight (and rather “plasticky”, of course), its touch-screen operations allow you to control the volume, switch channels, and even turn on/off the power in most popular TV, SAT, DVD player, LD player and VCR brands. The green backlit screen (electroluminescent for visibility in the dark) requires tiny taps with a finger or stylus to do your bidding. And, of course, it also functions as a regular digital watch. The build quality of the watch may leave you a little disappointed, but then, you don’t really expect titanium with such a price tag.

CHEWING GUM SPYCAM

Just look at it: This mini audio video camera is actually the size of a packet of Wrigley’s chewing gum. Obviously, its 3GP resolution (176x144 pixels) will be good enough only for grabbing rather fuzzy moving images—just sufficient to give a good overview of the scenario. With the built-in USB rechargeable Li-ion battery intended to last 2 hours on a single charge, the 2GB microSD card at these resolutions is sure to give you ample storage. An inbuilt omni-directional mic captures ambient sound from a distance of 1-2m while the lens comfortably spies on objects 2-3m away.

MTUBE PC

With its 2.8-inch LCD screen, 3.3x3.3x0.078 inches dimensions and 150gm weight, the Mtube looks like a media player or GPS device. But it is, in fact, a powerful Linux-based wireless ultra mobile PC. Developed under the aegis of the Taiwanese government, the National Taiwan University and the Institute for Information Industry (III), and slated for a 2009 release, the diminutive Mtube boasts of both WiMax and WiFi connectivity but offers only a 4-hour battery life. With a 640x480 resolution colour screen, built-in Firefox for browsing, it is powered by a VIA 1.0GHz C7-M processor and comes with 8GB of flash storage. Aided by its H.264, WMV, RMVB, MOV, FLV, and DivX video codec handling prowess, the Mtube can be utilized as an Internet-savvy digital video player and as a WiMax-equipped streaming server for video. The Mtube is also capable of speech recognition.
