New Delhi: Cairn India Ltd, a unit of UK-based explorer Cairn Energy Plc, is seeking to hire a rig to drill two wells in a field off India’s east coast.
The explorer sought bids for a rig to be used in a field in Ravva in the Bay of Bengal starting November, according to a document posted on the company’s website.
Cairn and partner Oil and Natural Gas Corp. Ltd (ONGC) have produced oil and gas from the Ravva field for the past 15 years, according to a presentation on Cairn’s website.
